MANITOWOC, WIS. – May 1, 2023 — Americollect, a leader in treating patients Ridiculously Nice, announced today the addition of Apple Pay and Google Pay as payment options for Bad Debt Collections starting today, May 1, 2023. With mobile-based payments on track to be used by over half of smartphone users by 2025, this offers patients more options when paying their healthcare balance.
“Smartphones are an integral part of our lives today,” said Americollect President Shawn Gretz. “Adding Apple Pay and Google Pay options is giving patients more choice when making payments.”
In the past year Americollect has seen more than 69,000 website visitors using mobile devices and that number is expected to increase as there are 307 million smartphone users in the United States. Adding Apple Pay and Google Pay options for patients making payments through the Americollect online payment portal is a strong advancement in payment collections.
Apple Pay and Google Pay are mobile payment services that allow users to make in-person, in-app and online purchases with their smartphone. Currently Apple Pay has 43.9 million users and is on track to add another 14.4 million by 2025. Google Pay currently has 25.2 million users.
“It is important when being Ridiculously Nice to patients to give them as many options as possible,” said Gretz. “Offering these new payment options helps open communication lines and builds trust with every patient we speak to.”
Americollect firmly believes that everyone deserves to be treated Ridiculously Nice, all the time, no matter what. Working only within the healthcare industry, in both early out and bad debt collections, we utilize our Ridiculously Nice approach to open communication lines and build trust with the patient, providing the same compassionate approach that they expect from their healthcare organizations.
